TEWANTIN-NOOSA BOWLS CLUB
This week the notes for this Club have to be very restricted. They are normally written by our President, Keith Pearce and he is in the Cooroy Hospital, suffering from the effects of the preliminary to an overseas trip injections.
I have received the cards for several games, and candidly, can make nothing sensible out of them as I was not playing. Over the Australia Day week-end we were favoured with a visit from the Camp Hill Club, an annual event to which we look forward. Next week the actual results will be set out, as I know our Camp Hill friends will wish to have them in print. Unfortunately we could not hold the usual festivities, owing to an Injunction granted by the Supreme Court against the Club, when no notice had been given to the Club that such an application was to be made - or it would have been strenuously con tested; that now comes later.
Thanks go to Jim Latta for throwing his home open for a most enjoyable evening, much enjoyed by the Camp Hillites and more particularly to Mrs. Latta for her wonderful efforts in catering for such a houseful. Until next week I will have to content myself with a finish, as of old, with a quotation. I think the most appropriate one would be "He who laughs last, laughs loudest"
