DAIRYMEN PREPARED TO LOAD BUTTER.
COOROY. November 2.
A meeting of dairymen was held here yesterday to discuss the situation in regard to the shipment of butter, Mr. Crouch presiding. Various proposals were put forward, and a motion to the effect that preparations should be made to organise a supply of labour in conjunction with other centres to help to load the butter in case of necessity was carried, but it was also decided to exhaust all other avenues of settlement of the present position before taking this action. In the meantime a number of dairymen are prepared to render services if they should be required.
This article was repeated in papers all over the State with each paper striving to provide a different header for the same article.

A teamster named Henry Duke, aged about 50 years, met with a serious accident at the timber loading skids at the Cooroy railway station on Saturday last. A log which he was rolling on to a truck got out of control and rolled on to Duke, severely injuring his pelvis and thigh. He was taken to Nurse Morrison's private hospital, and attended to by Dr. Seaforth. He is now progressing favourably.
