Cooran to the seaside for Christmas 1901

Cooran -December 9, 1901.

Mr. Chares Crank, a well known and respected resident of Tewantin for the past twenty years, intends running a passenger coach from Cooran to the seaside during the Christmas and New Year holidays, having just purchased a splendid turnout for the purpose.

The genial Charlie was a well known whip on the Cooroy-Tewantin road, also on the Cooran Gympie road in the old coaching days, and the travelling public could not do better than to place themselves under his guidance. Due notice will be given through the local press as to date of commencement of running and the fares are to be very reasonable.

Mr. D. Martin's new hotel at Tewantin is now finished and is a credit to the builders so I am told, but unfortunately for Dan he has been refused a license for this month which means a big loss financially to him. Mr. Alf Lister has his store stocked now with goods fresh, cheap, and up to date and no doubt he will hold his own during the coming Christmas. December 9, 1901.
