A combined committee of Cooroy and Tewantin returned soldiers will conduct a big day's sports at the seaside on Easter Saturday the net profits to be equally divided between the two bodies to supplement the funds of the fallen soldiers' memorials to be erected In the respective towns.
The secretary, Mr. G. H. Golding, reports that several motor car owners have proffered their assistance in transporting the visitors from Cooroy and will donate the proceeds, less petrol expenses, to the fund. Several horse-drawn vehicles have also been secured under similar conditions. A schedule of times of departure from Cooroy and Tewantin has been drawn up giving amount of return fare, for motor cars, motor lorries and horse vehicles. Quite a number or young ladies have volunteered to assist at the day's outing. There will be dancing in both halls on Saturday night.
