Each August we celebrate National Family History Month. A wide range of activities are planned across libraries, archives, family history and genealogy societies. Take advantage of the many free events and presentations. Find them here on the NFHM events page.
With our region currently in lockdown we are limited to online sessions. This morning we held our inaugural Zoom meeting with 7 attendees. Several had not used Zoom before so it was pleasing to see these members online, learning how to use some of Zoom's features.
If you are a member of our group you will have received an email with the link. That link will also work for next Tuesday 10th August at 11.30 am. Our topic for discussion this morning was Family History Month and current research being done by members. Thanks to Cathy, Louise, Jenny, Joan, Warren and Lynette for joining Carmel online.
Here are two free Zoom sessions of interest in the next few days. Register in advance with the links provided.

Members of CNGHRG Inc. may send their Zoom queries to cooroynoosagenealogy[at]gmail[dot]com The best way to learn is to join in. A YouTube search Zoom for beginners provides plenty of advice.
Next week's discussion topic will be Free resources to use during lockdown and A favourite family photo. You may like to share a free resource you are using this month and/or share your screen to show and talk about a favourite photo. We hope to see many more members join in.
