Occupations Why are they important in family history? Learning about the work of our ancestors provides us with information about their daily lives and social status. Were they blacksmiths, brewers or book binders? Maybe coachmen, cobblers or cooks. Whatever the occupation, find out more about this important part of your ancestor’s life.
Opening times: Our Heritage Centre opens on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 9.30am to 1pm. Workshops, Interest Groups, talks and more are held on other days.
