Scan - We have two scanners members may use to digitise their photos, slides and documents. Help is available. In some cases the digital images can be further enhanced using OCR (Optical Character Recognition) to enable the search for key words or sentences in old newspaper or book scans.

The Scottish Interest Group meets once a month to further their skills and share their research.

School prize - Each year the group hosts a writing competition at the local primary school.

Social events play an important role in enhancing the group.
