Y-DNA:- Enhance your research using the male Y sex chromosome. The male pair of sex chromosomes are X and Y, where the X chromosome is passed from the mother and the Y chromosome from the father. Because the Y chromosome is unique to the male it passes from father and son and is virtually unchanged in the process. Some DNA companies provide deep Y-DNA research which applies over many generations helping to identify the paternal line of ancestors.
